Having treated our ears to some decidedly retro house excursions in
recent times, Simoncino goes the whole hog with his love for the
proto Chi town bump with the launch of the Hot Mix label. Running
with a one off vinyl only ethos, the inaugural release features
some of the Italian's most celebrated contemporaries. Compatriot
Marcello Napoletano teams up with Simoncino for the Mathematics
style lo fi rattle of "Target House" which is complemented by the
deep 909 jack of Carl Bias' "I Feel It" - the elder house statesmen
might recognise Bias as a member of the legendary house troupe
Master C&J! On the flip it's an Italian affair with Joe Drive
following a recent turn on Mathematics with the sultry heavily
percussive rhythms of "Underrated Love" and No More Hits regular
Nicholas switching down the heat for a rasping 707 house meets soft
rock odyssey on "Chi Town Track".
