>>How did you come to music ? When did you start composing ? Don't you
have any musical background ?
My first musical experiments were done on a piano and an electric organ
at home when i was little. I realised if I just payed the black notes it
always sounded good. I just started slowly adding white notes until I
got to where I am now ? about half way across the keyboard.
>>What kind of music are you composing ? Could you describe it ?
Most of the music I have made recently sounds like film music ? its kind
of neo-classical melodies with big reverbs. For some reason its only the
drum programming that sounds modern.
>>Where does your inspiration come from ? How do you compose ?
I like music to be beautiful and new sounding. When I compose my time is
divided between working on intricate rhythm programming, searching for
new sounds, and working on melodies and harmonics until they sound
right. Sometimes have to wait for the melodies to reveal themselves, out
of some harmonic relationship that might have come about by chance. My
inspiration comes from playing around with instruments and recording
techniques, software and hardware devices, anything electronic that will
create a new sound or form the structure of a piece of music.
>>What was your discography before releasing an album for Expanding
Records ?

>>What's your relation with Expanding Records ? How have you been
released by this label ?
I started it.
>>Do you think there is a common point between you and the other artists
on Expanding Records ? Yes, beautiful electronic music What do you think
of Expanding's aesthetics? Do you think that it corresponds to the
personality of your music? Do you think you're now linked to this label?
I love them, yes and yes Do you consider that releasing a disc from a
label is an aim of a musician/a tool for a musician?
When I finished my first album back in 1995 I tried to get it released
on other labels because I wanted other people to hear it, but no label
would release it, so i did it myself. What's are your musical projects
for the future? I have just finished making the Stendec album with paul
merritt which will be ready in a few months. Then I will lock myself
away in the studio and work on a new benge album, which will be a bit
like hybernating for the entire winter wrapped up in warm analog synths.
