The time is September 1983. The scene is UK Electronica '83, a 12 hour
electronic music festival held at Milton Keynes, at which Mark Shreeve
is playing his first live concert as support to the headline act. Over
the speakers comes the opening notes of Mark Shreeves recently released
LP 'Assassin'. The unfamiliar, swirling spacey introduction to the title
track catches the attention of a few people. Then the tracks main theme
begins and suddenly more fans loom forward toward the speakers. By the
time the piece reaches it's first climax a crowd of 200 people have
converged upon the area to listen in wide-eyed amazement to this
increadible music. The stand is then besieged by hords of people who
just have to buy this remarkable new LP. Ten years on and 'Assasin' is
on CD. Another ten years and it is on .mp3. Hope you like it as much as
the original crowd did.
