Jiri Stivin : flutes,clarinet,altosax
Ali Haurand : acoustic bass
Ali Haurand who grew up with a jazz tradition, has
decades worth of experience in the art of free play
and structuring the music of his ever first class
bands and ensembles. He is very much associated with
Jiri Stivin who has his spiritual home in different
disciplines: He gained during a long process an open,
non dogmatic and creative handling of his new found
musical freedom.
Others may come from the Berklee School of Music -
Jiri Stivin comes from Bohemia, the "Conservatory of
Europe".
He plays baroque, jazz and free improvisational music
with the same devotion. All these experiences can be
sensed when Ali Haurand and Jiri Stivin get involved
in a musical dialog which may need a common topic, but
no additional prior arrangement.
When two musicians of this quality join forces, the
sounds and the rhythm ebb and flow by themselves.

gF is about bringing music we like and want others in the scene
to check out. Not more not less. We try to keep our choices of music
off the mainstream path. But as far as genres go you can expect
anything. Our rippers are allowed freedom to share their music
collection. (dont worry you wont be seeing the newest mtv crap
made for TV flavor of the month bands).
Our Hearts go out to the mp3 scene
and we want to be a part of it.. We thrive on each other,
As well we thrive on the people who get our releases,
its all one big group all in all. If you like a band from
downloading a gF rip please try to go out and support
them and buy some merch directly from the bands. As some of our
ripper are in bands or promote shows themselves, they know what it's
like to get the extra help.
. .. thanks..
