Live on Proton Radio (www.protonradio.com):
a stellar minimal tech house treat from Kurtis
Patrick... enjoy!!
Kurtis Patrick is a DJ & aspiring Producer located in
NYC.
In the short time since deciding he would like to pursue
a career in music, Kurtis has accomplished quite a bit
for himself.
Over the last couple of years, Kurtis has DJ'd some of
the most well known Clubs in the US including Club Space
Miami, Living Room Miami, Sutra, Fort Lauderdale, &
Groovejet New York as well as DJing in far off places
like Cancun, Mexico, Turks & Caicos Islands in the
British West Indies & in Maui, Hawaii alongside Dave
Ralph.s
In 2001 after moving to New York where he now resides,
he won the Cooljunkie.com, (Miami) DJ competition &
gained a spot on Deckjunkie, a Miami based DJ agency
devoted to promoting & showcasing local & upcoming
talent.
Also in 2001 he started a weekly 2 & 1/2 hour radio show
"Drifting" on www.protonradio.com . Going strong for
around 1 year now, Kurtis has numerous live mixes &
mixshows under his belt & guests on his show include
established DJ/Producers the likes of Saeed & Palash,
Omid 16b, Gray Area, Steve Gerrard & Snafu, as well as
some of the best undiscovered talent around.
Kurtis strives to set his own sound apart from the
massive amount of DJ's playing the same stale
records...Staying away from the obvious big played out
records/labels. Weaving in & out of Deep, Tech , Tribal,
& Progressive House with ease, he never fails to leave a
stone untouched in his sets. He is also known for his
extremely tight mixing & programming skills which over
the past couple years he has well proven in his live
radio shows & numerous mix comps.
