Alright people hold your breath cos this is a bit of a long nfo :P
I'll start off with the reason as to why this set is a year old.
Well the guys over at Team NBD brought us the first part of this
set about 15 months ago, so always remember them for that.
But now a small group (2 guys I believe) managed to get their hands
on the DAT tape the radio station used for the broadcast. The DAT
has about an extra 90 minutes of PvD which was not broadcasted on
Nova969. How fucking mint is that?
So thanks to merkinmix & waXology who shared this set with me, we
rather 1REAL bring it too you than some shit group who dl it and
act like they ripped it. And these guys even made .cue files for
everyones listening pleasure, safe as fuck !
Below is an extract from the small nfo that these guys shared
with us :)
It sure took a while for me to get my hands on this little gem by
the master PvD. The DATs have been under lock and key for fifteen
months and I was hanging out to hear the previously unheard (unless
you were there on the night of course) 90 mins or so from the man
himself. Suffice it is to say - it was worth the wait! I'm not in
the "scene", just a Trance lover who prefers to rip my own vinyl for
archiving purposes and ease of use on my PC. But when a rarity such
as this comes along I like to share with my mates. And being over
twelve months since the event I'm comfortable in the fact that I
won't be affecting anyone's livelihood by making it available.
It's a pity some of the early trax on Part Two are a bit dodgy.
It's obvious Paul was having some sound problems. A small price to
pay for a classic set.
Part One was aired on two occasions during 2002 by the legendary
Tom Brown on Rush on Sydney's Nova 969 (Australia's finest dance
radio station) but unfortunately Part Two never made it to the
soundwaves. So here it is in its entirety. Ripped from the ONLY
source tapes in existence for Paul van Dyk fans and Trance lovers
in general.
Enjoy the DJ and his wonderful music!
