█ █▓ █▓ █
█ █▓ █▓ █
█ █▓ █▓ █
█ █▓ Creativity, a miss-mash of styles, █▓ █
█ █▓ vocals and instruments coming in at █▓ █
█ █▓ all different places during a song, █▓ █
█ █▓ are all fantastic when they come █▓ █
█ █▓ off together and pay dividends. █▓ █
█ █▓ Unfortunately in Tom Tom ClubÆs █▓ █
█ █▓ case it doesnÆt and fails to hit █▓ █
█ █▓ the mark quite dramatically. Not █▓ █
█ █▓ many people will have realised the █▓ █
█ █▓ two co-creators behind the band, █▓ █
█ █▓ Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth were █▓ █
█ █▓ also two of the three that made up █▓ █
█ █▓ the imperious Talking Heads. The █▓ █
█ █▓ one ingredient that is missing here █▓ █
█ █▓ is the magic that David Byrne █▓ █
█ █▓ brought to the table as master of █▓ █
█ █▓ wonky pop brilliance. This live █▓ █
█ █▓ album is truly catastrophic in all █▓ █
█ █▓ manner of ways. Girl band vocals █▓ █
█ █▓ mix with awful raps and terrible, █▓ █
█ █▓ often embarrassing lyrics. You █▓ █
█ █▓ could say that many would dismiss █▓ █
█ █▓ their music for sheer snobbery, but █▓ █
█ █▓ this is an attempt at fun music █▓ █
█ █▓ without the heart or impetus. The █▓ █
█ █▓ one acceptance to the rule is a █▓ █
█ █▓ strangely endearing song called █▓ █
█ █▓ æSheÆs DangerousÆ, which works █▓ █
█ █▓ incredibly well among the dirge of █▓ █
█ █▓ tedium. Starting with skitter █▓ █
█ █▓ reggae beats, it is more classic █▓ █
█ █▓ Madness than sickly Shaggy. █▓ █
█ █▓ Unfortunately it is a pointless █▓ █
█ █▓ live record and shows creative █▓ █
█ █▓ talent when un-honed can go faintly █▓ █
█ █▓ wrong. █▓ █
