| | First release on the legendary Basement | |
| | label, set up by Record Basement owner Phil | |
| | Wells. Here recording as "Basement Phil", | |
| | the first release is a mixup of many | |
| | different styles; the opening chords and | |
| | vocals are taken from a house tune of the | |
| | same name, while a techno beat creeps in | |
| | alongside a hardcore break as the track | |
| | progresses on. Actually, the whole thing | |
| | sounds kind of like it was produced by having | |
| | four or five different turntables going at | |
| | once, and then having some synths played live | |
| | over the top. Not too bad, but in comparison | |
| | to the releases that would follow, mildly | |
| | disappointing. | |
| | | |
| | Due to the age of this vinyl there are | |
| | certain unremovable background noises, and | |
| | rather than attempt to remove them with a | |
| | processing program that would affect the | |
| | sound, I have chosen to leave them in. I | |
| | apologize for any annoyances this may cause. | |
| | | |
| | Hold tight, hardcore massive. More is on the | |
| | way... 2004, the year of the return of the | |
| | hardcore! | |
