Release Notes:
--------------
Of all scene-related festivals taking place in Germany, the Amphi
Festival, located at the scenic banks of the river Rhine, at the
Tanzbrunnen in Cologne, is one of the most popular, with tickets being
sold out weeks prior in previous years. As usual, this yearÆs festival
line up features some of the biggest names in the scene. It is
therefore little wonder that the selection of bands on ôAmphi Festival
2011ö, the official festival-compilation, reads like a ôwho is whoö of
the scene, with contributions from Hocico, Agonoize, Nitzer Ebb, Die
Krupps, Suicide Commando, Subway To Sally, Tanzwut, Kirlian Camera,
Covenant, DE/Vision, Clan Of Xymox, Leaether Strip, Ordo Rosarius
Equilibrio and many more. This jam-packed sampler of the latest hits at
a wallet-friendly EP-price-tag is, thusly, not only the ideal
festival-souvenir but also a comprehensive overview of the most popular
acts in the Goth-/Electro- and Medieval-scenes and a perfect entry
point for novices to the ôDark Side!ö The dark sounds of summer at the
price of a beach cocktail!
