GLC are fifteen scally twats from Newport, Wales. They
have a reputation as wind-up merchants, chiefly for
convincing Heat magazine that Charlotte Church sang on
their song "Stick It In Cider". But, their music makes
them more than just a novelty act. With lyrical themes
including draw, STDs, and, er, monkey love, word of
Goldie Lookin' Chain has spread well beyond Newport,
thanks to word of mouth and a small number of bootlegs
and limited edition releases since summer 2001. Recently
they supported Super Furry Animals in Newport.
