| Here is an extract from the cover of the album: |

| "My name is David Krakauer, welcome to my city!" |
| Cracow, Indigo Club, June 2nd, 2003, 9h30 p.m.: It is quiet rare |
| to be able to see a man achieving one of his dreams. His audience |
| requested a live concert recording for a long time. David Krakauer |
| also wanted to keep a trace of feverish performances by his |
| "Klemzer Madness", a formidable "goodfellas" gang. Michael's |
| implacable drums, Nicki's bass lines sensuality, Sheryl's firing |
| plectrum, Will's accordion distressing sobriety....all seemed |
| ready for the firework. Only a match was needed: Socalled, 23 year |
| old, with his mad scientist look, handling samples and rythmics |
| such as david upsets the klezmer, without any hang-ups. |
| Intimately, this New-Yorker clarinettist knew that this new |
| madness could only have one possible setting: Cracow, or rather |
| Krakow, symbol city of a rediscovered identity. |
| |
| Krakauer in Krakow. The anecdote is tempting. But the purpose is |
| different. Krakauer's family story, you can feel it in your flesh, |
| while spending a few hours with david in the ancestral Jewish |
| quarter Kazimierz: a dense and powerfull culture, bled white by |
| human cruelty and violence. On the Central square, a notice board |
| invites to guided tours to Auschwitz, less than one hour drive |
| away. |
| On this listening of june 2nd, David Krakauer meets "his" city, in |
| order to write a new chapter of the love story linking him to |
| Cracow and his audience for almost ten years. The vital and wild |
| energy of a whole city is concentrated on that night in a cellar |
| of the Florianska street. |
| |
| The party lasted 5 days and 4 nights. This album is a faithful |
| testimony to it. |
