Justin Ledford, known better in the
Dallas scene as LDFD, is a 19-year-old
dude whose affinity for music sounds
steeped in equal parts Southern trap
and Euro electronic. He flaunted that
style heavily on his remix of Crystal
Waters' "Gypsy Woman," though he has
changed things up a bit on original
tune "Outtacontrol." It's off his
forthcoming EP of the same name and
throbs enough that it could get some
play in a dance club. But it's not so
trashy that it would offend your ears
outside of a sweat-drenched setting.
LDFD finds a middle-ground without
appeasing a single audience. He's also
unapologetic in his approach and on
"Outtacontrol," he ditches the Dirty
South for something akin to Hudson
Mohawke.
