Five robust electronic HipHop joints for the
club from Stuff and Big Dada dude, Offshore.
This fella's funk is weighty. His fourth 12"
serves proper Bass functions, from the shuffled
808 bang of 'Pacer' through the Grimy dip of
'Pepper' and the crunked-out roll of 'East
Coast Capital Connect'. But, that's not to
forget he's got a killer knack for strange,
off-kilter hooks, like the woozy harpsichord of
the title cut and to a greater degree on the
deftly deconstructed Bass ballad of 'Pearls &
Butlers' featuring vocals from Cienfuegos
Mintlaw. He's got a debut album dropping early
next year, apparently. Looking forward to that.
