Over the years many budding producers have
tried to imitate the sound of early 80s Electro
Funk... and failed! So how does Andrew Shaw aka
'The Artificial Arm' get it so right you might
ask?!Well, this comes down to many things -
Firstly, Mr. Shaw actually lived through the
golden age of early 80s Electro Funk. Secondly,
in the 90s he painstakingly researched who used
what machine back-in-the-day... and thirdly,
the great 'man machine' has the letters
F.U.N.K. engraved on his biomechanical heart.
Having forged a solid reputation on the Electro
Funk circuit with releases on Orson Records,
Morgan Khan's Street Sounds Nu Electro imprint
and his very own Artificial Arm Music, Andrew
thought it only best to share the F.U.N.K. and
throw us some rather tasty treats.'Go Back In
Time', 'Welcome To Planet Funk', 'You've Been
Messing With My Mind' & 'Press Start To Dance'
are four seriously Funk fueled jams and both
'Go Back In Time' & 'Welcome To Planet Funk'
are previously unreleased extended (DJ Intro
Versions) too.Now we could sit hear and bang on
about TR808 this and SH101 that, but we feel
that we would simply be regurgitating
references you've probably already heard
before. So without further ado, it's time to
