Sophisticated rock accented with strong musicianship, melodic vocals, and
your grandmother's best warm apple pie. This easily describes one of
Metro-Detroit's newest and up and coming bands - Morrow's Memory.
The band initially started as a creative rock project between long time high
school friends and former bandmates of a previous project, Zach Novak
(Drums) and Joe Wolford (Lead Guitar). Over the course of roughly half a
year, contact with over thirty local musicians and nearly a dozen auditions,
as of late September of 2009, the ideal lineup was complete. Additional
members included Tony Fitchett (Lead Vocals), Brian Sasanas (Vocals and
Guitar), Scott Sarnia (Bass), and Mike Fritz (Keyboard).
Throughout the musician search, the band began writing a diverse arrangement
of songs. With each new member addition, a unique element was added into the
mold of the Morrow's Memory sound. The resulting style has been described as
mainstream hard rock with hints of alternative, progressive and soft rock.
Though their sound is unique, they easily fit the format of most radio
stations that feature new rock.
The name "Morrow's Memory" comes from the concept that everything in life
becomes a memory of tomorrow. On a similar note, their lyrics often revolve
around common life themes, providing an excellent foundation for the
listener to relate to the music. It's real music, with real lyrics, written
by real people. It's as simple as that.
Recently the band went into Minx Recording Studio (Farmington, MI) to record
songs to be used for promotional purposes. The recordings were completed and
released in December of 2009 and featured their songs "Abandon", "Hero In
The Dark", and "Let You Down". Soon the band will be seeking exposure in
