▄▀░████▓░▀║ was giving a concert and I was going to see him. ║▀░▓████░▀▄
▄▀░████▓░▀║ I had never heard of him, so I asked my violinist ║▀░▓████░▀▄
▄▀░████▓░▀║ sister if she knew anything about him. She told ║▀░▓████░▀▄
▄▀░████▓░▀║ me he was incredible and not to be missed. ║▀░▓████░▀▄
▄▀░████▓░▀║ ║▀░▓████░▀▄
▄▀░████▓░▀║ The CD is amazing! If you can afford it, get it; ║▀░▓████░▀▄
▄▀░████▓░▀║ it's a treasure. There's fire in it, and I ║▀░▓████░▀▄
▄▀░████▓░▀║ couldn't stop listening again and again. I also ║▀░▓████░▀▄
▄▀░████▓░▀║ love the other musicians in the ensemble, and the ║▀░▓████░▀▄
▄▀░████▓░▀║ fact that they use traditional instruments ║▀░▓████░▀▄
▄▀░████▓░▀║ (complete with cymbalon - something I have only ║▀░▓████░▀▄
▄▀░████▓░▀║ seen in Eastern European pubs). ║▀░▓████░▀▄
▄▀░████▓░▀║ ║▀░▓████░▀▄
▄▀░████▓░▀║ And then I went to the concert. ║▀░▓████░▀▄
▄▀░████▓░▀║ ║▀░▓████░▀▄
▄▀░████▓░▀║ Roby Lakatos is one of those things for whom the ║▀░▓████░▀▄
▄▀░████▓░▀║ word artist seems too weak; or at least, if you ║▀░▓████░▀▄
▄▀░████▓░▀║ call him an artist, try to whisper the word ║▀░▓████░▀▄
▄▀░████▓░▀║ gently. Make sure you don't disturb anything. ║▀░▓████░▀▄
▄▀░████▓░▀║ Never mind that his technique is breath-taking. ║▀░▓████░▀▄
▄▀░████▓░▀║ The real wonder is how he makes his violin sing. ║▀░▓████░▀▄
▄▀░████▓░▀║ I had tears in my eyes, a first for me at a ║▀░▓████░▀▄
▄▀░████▓░▀║ concert. Maybe sometimes, something happens ║▀░▓████░▀▄
▄▀░████▓░▀║ somewhere in the universe, and we receive a gift. ║▀░▓████░▀▄
▄▀░████▓░▀║ It might be called Gould, or Monk, or Heifetz, or ║▀░▓████░▀▄
