Curious 2nd single from Iain Woods' Psychologist alter
ego, intended as the conclusion to a two part set with his
debut 'Waves Of OK'. In comparison with its predecessor,
the 'Propellor EP' is far more electronic, deploying
really heavy subbass sounds and spare but bruising drums.
The minimalist pop drama and lavish bass of opener 'Out,
Damned Spot!', reminds of moments from the Various
Production catalogue, while elsewhere you'll come across
the foreboding, Waking Life-sampling 'Seance', and a brash
but slanted take on disco inspired by episode 16 of Twin
Peaks, on the obviously named 'Disco At Twin Peaks'.
