│║ Very few albums have such a high number of ║ │
│║ kickass songs as this one. The album is ║ │
│║ shamelessly cheesy and somehow doesn't come ║ │
│║ across like Rhapsody or Freedomcall. The vocals ║ │
│║ are not your standard balless powermetal vocals, ║ │
│║ deeper and stronger then the likes of ║ │
│║ whatshisname from hammerfall. Lets run through a ║ │
│║ brief list of the tracks. ║ │

│║ After the into we open with Wings of Forever, ║ │
│║ the synths here remind me of something from ║ │
│║ Nightwish, drumming is standard but fast, the ║ │
│║ vocals are have perfect range from low to high. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ Now we hear the choir style opening of "Far ║ │
│║ Away". The keyboards really come in on this one ║ │
│║ as Steve Williams shows off his skill. This song ║ │
│║ also features one of the best chorus on the ║ │
│║ album. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ What do we have here? another song with a cheesy ║ │
│║ chorus, good solos and perfect vocals? "Glory ║ │
│║ Tonight" stays with the pattern of perfect ║ │
│║ symphonic powermetal songs. The interlude here ║ │
│║ has one of the finest solos I've heard in along ║ │
│║ time. ║ │

│║ Time for the big Epic of the album, "Powerquest ║ │
│║ (part I)". The song starts with a spoken intro ║ │
│║ thats 10xs better then the ones by Rhapsody. The ║ │
│║ vocals on this song really show the skill and ║ │
│║ potential of Alessio Garavello. ║ │
│║ ║ │

│║ "Beyond The Stars" is along the same line of ║ │
│║ songs as Glory Tonight and Far away with the ║ │
│║ classic Powerquest sound you are starting to see ║ │
│║ form on this album, only bad thing with this ║ │
│║ song are a few cheesy verses. ║ │
│║ ║ │
│║ Every album should have one ballad and Immortal ║ │
│║ Plains is just that. Slow paced, melodic backing ║ │
│║ vocals, cheesy glory lyrics, what more do you ║ │
│║ need? ║ │

│║ Just as it seems they might have been running ║ │
│║ out of ideas Freedom of Thought starts with a ║ │
│║ maidenish gallop to it, this song differs from ║ │
│║ the rest of the album in style ...until they hit ║ │
│║ back in the cheesy glory chorus that makes this ║ │
│║ band what it is. ║ │

│║ An album that should mark the start of a great ║ │
│║ powermetal band. ║ │
