American producer Tridact will release his self-titled debut album this August.
Tridact, known to his familiars as Brandon Johnson, is an artist from Rogue
Valley, Oregon whose recording career is just getting started. His catalog so
far is extremely light: just one track called "Light Minute" that appeared on
compilations by Moodgadget and Ghostly International. But despite this low
profile, he managed to catch the attention of Prins Thomas, who will release the
album on his label, Internasjonal, and it's not hard to see why: Tridact's style
is right up Thomas's alley, with laid back disco grooves and a vaguely Balearic
atmosphere. All of the tracks are instrumental, and mostly performed live on
analog gear.
