       │  "Nu Cool 2 builds on the success of the ground breaking nu  ││
       │  cool, with some blissful moments of civility and style in   ││
       │  today's formulaic one-hit one-weekend wonders. There is no  ││
       │  better way to kick off an album than with a track that      ││
       │  features Jocelyn Brown, the godmother of modern disco       ││
       │  souldful dance tracks. The album then works into some       ││
       │  wonderful styles such as Expansions with the voice of Roy   ││
       │  Ayers and The Black Science Orchestra's Philadelphia.       ││
       │  The second disc is quite a contrast and is more suited, as  ││
       │  the sleeve notes say, to the terrace at club 'nu cool'.     ││
       │  The combination of shimmering vocals and blissful beats     ││
       │  from D-influence and Ultra NatΘ open the second CD. It      ││
       │  moves through modern gringo hip - hop (Fun Lovin'           ││
       │  Criminals) to Loungecore (E-Z rollers), via some            ││
       │  interesting distractions in the shape of Zhane's 'Request   ││
       │  Line' and Juanita Daley's 'Love Hurts'. Take Nu Cool 2 as   ││
       │  it comes and keep and open mind, and I'm sure it will find  ││
