Sam KDC returns to ASC's Auxiliary imprint with four
tracks of cinematic ambient Techno and minimised D&B with
a neo-classical finish. 'Dote (A Tribute To Nostalgia)'
opens the case with icy strings and cut-up samples
underlined by elegant beat programming, while the title
track eschews any beats to lushly immersive, widescreen
effect. The highlight, though, has to be 'Eclipse' a
fragile piece of pulsating, aquatic ambient Techno sound
design, or then again, maybe it's the lush neo-classicisms
of 'Everything You Touch'? Either way, it's a lovely
effort for fans of vintage R&S/Apollo moments.
