│ With a debut 12inch that sold out in no time, much is expected from this │
│ vinyl sequal and without hesitating we claim that the boys deliver. │
│ A range of tracks are to be released on labels on a geographically wide │
│ scale so things are looking good for these tribal maestros. Make sure │
│ not to miss out on this one!!! │

│ The history of Etnoscope from thier website: │
│ In the begining Etnoscope where only Martin Colin and Rasmus Alanne. │
│ Our first rendevous where under the partypromotor Club Underground, │
│ where we where involved with the chillout mostly. │
│ But when Club Underground closed down we where leaning towards the idea, │
│ of having a "real" trance/techno studio in kristianstad, sweden. │
│ Up to that point there had been no real trance/techno studios in this │
│ town, │
│ only some rock/house/dance studios and none of these where fit, │
│ for the kind of music that we had in mind. │
│ │
│ So in early 1999 we started to look for a studio location, │
│ but finding one was extremly hard since most landlords do not care, │
│ for either "partypeople" or their loud "rave" music with for thomping │
│ basses. │
│ But in mid 1999 we found a bassement location that we could share with 2 │
│ other bands, │
│ so the assembling of the Etnoscope studio began. │
│ │
│ The equimpent first used was a pc p133 with cubase a sbcard for midi, │
│ 1-2 non multitimral synths, a crappy virtualizer fx-box and a 16ch │
│ mixer. │
│ It was when we started making our first tunes in our midi studio, │
│ that we became painfully aware that making music in the style we wanted, │
│ would demand HARDWARE, A LOT OF EXPENSIVE DIFFICULT HARDWARE. │
│ │
│ So we started filling in the parts we thought we needed for │
│ midiproduction, │
│ but we never really could achive the sound we wanted, no matter how much │
│ midi stuff we got. │
│ So finally we got a better computer and started experimenting with │
│ harddiscrecording, │
│ and needless to say this was defenitly the way to go when experimenting │
│ with sonic landscapes. │
│ So we've recently aquired a faster computer that has more sound │
│ capabilities, │
│ and it seems that we are finally reaching the kind of sound scape that │
│ we've searching for. │
│ │
│ So we started looking around for "live-gigs" so we could get our music │
│ out to the crowds, │
│ and we got our first gig att Cosmic Club's "Progressive Night" in the │
│ chillout. │
│ That time we where where unorganized for the live preformance, │
│ but thanks to a helping hand from "Nos" and "Comatic", │
│ we where able to pull it off and got great reviews. │
│ │
│ The guys att Club Underground liked us enough to hire us back for a │
│ mainfloor preformance. │
│ And since we only had a few uptempo tunes we started looking into │
│ difrent live setups, │
│ as the months wen't by we also brought in some other musicans to help │
│ out with production. │
│ When we where finaly ready to play at Cosmic Club's "MindTwister" we had │
│ "livebackup", │
│ by a percussionist (Ludwig) and a didjartist (Linus zΣtterwall) to │
│ enhance the "liveexperince". │
│ │
│ But for some strange reason the monitor speakers that where ment for our │
│ "backup", │
│ didnt work att all so Ludwig and Linus didn't hear anything else than │
│ "rumble, rumble", │
│ and ended up playing after the beat light of our drummachine. │
│ This was not really what we had planned but enspite of this, │
│ people liked the "live sound" and new music, │
│ so we where offerd additional gigs in sweden. │
│ │
│ Since then we have gotten a LOT of experience, │
│ and we have been playing various partys all around sweden. │
│ The music has also evolved more towards the tribalistic sound, │
│ and diffrent labels are now releasing our music on both vinyl and cd's. │
