│ Opinion is divided on GMS. To some they represent the true kick-ass │
│ outdoor mountaintop black chai LSD soup freeparty madness element of the │
│ scene. And to others, they simply churn out the same tune time and time │
│ again, sticking to a formula instead of stretching the envelope to new │
│ sonic territories. Whatever, you can't question their influence on the │
│ scene - that wonderful growly sound, those over-used Matrix samples, │
│ their relentlessly thorough bleeding of the 303, and their delightfully │
│ silly, down n' dirty style. Sought-after Tip fodder like 1.3 Crumbs and │
│ Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep will satisfy those who missed or │
│ lost them first time round, and Velociraptor, which on first release I │
│ hated with a vengeance, just gets better with every play. On A Mission │
│ From God blows up like a proper bitch, Jaws eats a 303 for breakfast, │
│ and Medieval Times is an utter psychedelic pshindig. With a rumoured │
│ record-breaking four albums from GMS slated for release this year, The │
│ Hitz may prove to be a less than essential purchase. However if you │
│ happened to miss these first time around, or if like me you;re happy to │
│ admit that their derivative style is bread and butter for the soul that │
│ makes you grin like an idiot, then it's well worth a sniff. │
