Playground functions as an erimental lab for artists who are
working alsmost exclusively with vinyl, who are excessive record
collectors and DJs as well as producers.On the Playground series,
these DJs tell stories and build up suspense in a continuous mix.
These sound sculptures are more than the sum of the individual
tracks - they represent new works of art in themselves. The genres
which are their defining universe are known as contemporary
electronic dancemusic - key words such as nu-jazz, latin, trip hop
or downbeat serve only as a guide line. In the limelight stands the
high quality of the chosen songs themselves, complementing the
personality and the knowhow of the djs. It is the aim of these
releases to create a corresponding positive atmosphere and to
introduce the audience to exciting new tracks.The first release on
playground features Gⁿ-Mix, who is host of one of the best clubs in
Vienna - the famous Dub Club at the Flex. Among the represented
artists are national and international names like Sugar B, Deep
Dive Corporation or Peter Kruders Peace Orchestra.
