▓ Irwin Reyes Johnson (Scrunter) is one brave man. Maybe ▓
▓ itÆs the hunter in him that allows this calypsonian to ▓
▓ take risks as he does. ▓
▓ Believe it or not, Scrunter has improved on perfection. ▓
▓ On his latest CD, a Treasure to Behold, Scrunter took his ▓
▓ classic song ôWoman On The Bassö and infused Latin ▓
▓ rhythms, making it sound very different to the listener. ▓
▓ Scrunter has been pleasing his fans and calypso lovers ▓
▓ the world over for the past 25 years with his distinctive ▓
     ▓ tone. ▓
▓ The new CD contains 21 tracks including two medleys, the ▓
▓ first comprises ôWoman On The Bassö, ôSing In She Partyö, ▓
▓ ôOil In The Coilö, ôThe Willö and ôDoh Jam Disö. ▓

▓ There is also a remix of ôTantyö and :Judithö. Scrunter ▓
▓ pays tribute to the grandmaster of calypso, The Lord ▓
▓ Kitchener with this version of ôPan On The Moonö. ▓
▓ Working together with Juinor Ibo Joseph, Scrunter made ▓
▓ some old songs very new the musical treatment given to ▓
▓ the remix of ôJudithö is exceptional. It leaves one to ▓
▓ wonder why composers and arrangers canÆt come up with ▓
▓ this type of music for the Carnival Season. This version ▓
▓ of ôJudithö could be a hit in any Carnival season food ▓
▓ for thought. Atreasure to Behold takes Scrunter out of ▓
▓ the Parang Soca Master mold and into the calypso arena as ▓
