▐████▌ ▄▄▓▓█▓▌ Growing up with VP was recorded at Gay ▐▓█▓▓▄ ▀█▄▄▄███▀
▀████▄▄▄▄███████▀ Towers between January and April 2003 ▀█████▄ ▀▀▀
▀▀███▀▄█████▀ with Tim Browne, longstanding musical ▀█████▄
▄█████▀ ▀▄▄ collaborator, raconteur and occasional ▄▄▀ ▀█████▄
▐█████ ▐█▓ producer of previous VP releases (see ▓█▌ █████▌
█████▌ ███▌ Suicide Dad). Tims sublime musical ▐███ ▐█████
▀█████▄ ▓██▓ touches and pro tool malevolence have ▓██▓ ▄█████▀
▀▀███████▀ given this record an ambiguity and style ▀█████████
▀▀██▄ which has pointed Vinny towards a new and ▄██▀▀███ ▀ ▄
▄▄▄▄▄ ▐██▓ refreshing style. ▓██▌ ████▄ ▄█▌
▀ ▀▀███▄ ▄▓▓█▓▌ ▐▓█▓▓▄ ▀███████▀
▐███▌▄█████▀ Guest musicians include the infamous ▀█████▄ ▀▀▀
▄ ▄███▄█████▀ Peter (salute the parrot yet again) ▀█████▄
▀▀███▀██████▀ ▀▄▄ Kenrick on pedal steel, John Owens on ▄▄▀ ▀█████▄

▀█████▄ ▓██▓ (and quite beautifully too, it must be ▓██▓ ▄█████▀

▄▄▄ ▀▀██▄ Sinclair from the eponymous Widnes outfit ▄██▀▀■ ▀████▄

▐████▌ ▄▄▓▓█▓▌ authentic teenage vocals on Everlasting ▐▓█▓▓▄ ▀█▄▄▄███▀
▀████▄▄▄▄███████▀ Teenage Bedroom (as well as beating ▀█████▄ ▀▀▀

▀▀██▄ "Growing Up With" is an album of very ▄██▀▀███ ▀ ▄
▄▄▄▄▄ ▐██▓ different sounds and influences but . . ▓██▌ ████▄ ▄█▌
▀ ▀▀███▄ ▄▓▓█▓▌ . as the recording progressed it became ▐▓█▓▓▄ ▀███████▀
▐███▌▄█████▀ apparent that many of the songs (the ▀█████▄ ▀▀▀

█████▌ ███▌ similar themes being rooted in ▐███ ▐█████
▀█████▄ ▓██▓ childhood and early adulthood. Hence ▓██▓ ▄█████▀
▀▀███████▀ the title. As always the records lyrics ▀███████▀▓▄▄▄
▄▄▄ ▀▀██▄ are ultra-confessional, and although its ▄██▀▀■ ▀████▄
