Geike Arnaert was the lead singer of the Belgian band Hooverphonic
from 1997 up to October 2008.

Arnaert was born on 13 September 1979, in Heuvelland, Belgium. She
has two siblings: Anne Arnaert and Kaat Arnaert, has been a featured
singer with the Belgian bands Sutrastore and Tommigun .

On 10 October 2008, Arnaert announced she would leave Hooverphonic by
the end of the year to pursue her solo career. The last concert of
Hooverphonic with Geike happened on 13 December 2008 in Tele-Club,
Ekaterinburg, Russia. It was filmed by the local MTV television
station and was shown on Russian television during 2009.

In 2010 Geike was brought together with Spinvis for working on the
soundtrack of Oxygen (original title: Adem), a Belgian movie about
young people, suffering from mucovisidosis. Having written more
material than needed for the film, they put out a record. They called
themselves Dorleac for the occasion.

She recorded the historical French song "Le temps des cerises" as a
duet with the legendary singer-songwriter and entertainer Bobbejaan
Schoepen for his 2008 album "Bobbejaan", his first album in 35 years.
The record resulted also in a videoclip.

Geike has sung as a guest vocalist for various artists such as Ozark
Henry , Flip Kowlier, Tom Helsen...

Geike contributed vocals to "Mijn Leven" (My Life), the final single
of Dutch rapper Vijvenveertig (Andy Sierens). The song was recorded
two weeks before Sierens died of cancer.

Now here is her debut album For the beauty of confusion, her first
single she brought life on Stubru

First single: "Rope Dancer"
