   :  station in New Zealand to make sure that stations have   :
   :  plenty of good New Zealand music on hand for the         :

   :  Kiwi Hit Disc: The original. We have been doing Kiwi     :
   :  Hit Disc since 1993. We have done 63 volumes so far.     :
   :  The Kiwi Hit Disc brief is commercial music for          :
   :  commercial radio. Shihad, the feelers, Garageland,       :
   :  K'Lee, Stellar, Zed, etc.                                :

   :  These days, the hit discs are tracklisted by NZ On Air   :
   :  in consultation with record companies and radio          :
   :  programmers.                                             :

   :  Airplay potential is the main criterion. We are looking  :
   :  for songs that have got a realistic chance of getting    :
   :  played on commercial radio.                              :
   :                                                           :
   :  Sometimes we will judge airplay potential from the       :
   :  artists' track record - what kind of airplay result      :
   :  have we got from that band in the past - and sometimes   :
   :  - especially with new bands - we will test the song out  :
   :  with commercial radio programmers to get a reading on    :
   :  its airplay potential.                                   :
