█│ The rapidly evolving scene that's happening out in │█
█│ Russia allows for the kind of collaboration between │█
█│ artists of highly different fields, as is the case │█
█│ here. Arram Mantana, Tripmastaz and Roustam are three│█
█│ producers of different ilk, who have joined in this │█
█│ Special Case for their debut EP out soon on Souvenir │█
█│ Records. │█

█│ The A-side somehow manages to retain a melodic, │█
█│ minimal house sensibility that is then thrown into │█
█│ hyperdrive by a looping ragga sample. This one's │█
█│ useful either for after-hours hypnosis with its bass │█
█│ wobble, or pitched up, peak time apocalypse. │█
█│ 'Bollyhood' is the kind of confused tech-house whose │█
█│ faint vocal whisperings are always the most effective│█
█│ earworms the day after. │█
█│ │█
█│ The B-side is no slouch, the shimmering keys of │█
█│ `Psy-Baba' reminiscent of something out of `I Dream │█
█│ of Jeannie' playing off against an oscillating beat │█
█│ until the familiar vocal sample drifts in. It's │█
█│ fitting enough, with the grooveripping along to a │█
█│ squelchy, acid bassline and gurgling synths washing │█
█│ over it all. │█
