lovely (and cheap!) sampler from island records founder chris
blackwell's palm pictures offshoot, highlighting the diversity of
this excellent label with a mixture of latin, jazz-funk, dub,
afro-folk, indian classical and leftfield grooves
some good tunes in this compilation - nice to hear that jolly
mukherjee track again, and the cinematic orchestra remix is an
exclusive. also nice to have on cd, the restless soul remix of gigi
and the bita remix of da lata which only had a limited release 12"
release (was it on the da lata remix compilation? - i can't
remember!)
