│ This label kicked of as a sister label to the impressive ││
│ 'Siesta'. Founded in 1998 by veteran DJ, Bert Porcayo (DJ ││
│ Paluka), Siesta Music sought out to spread the pure, ││
│ non-traditional rhythms of West Coast House music. Bluem is ││
│ firmly set in the Progressive / Tribal groove, with previous ││
│ releases by Hipp-e, Halo & Penn & Chus and of course Bert ││
│ aka DJ Paluka only emphasising the label's style. 'New Jack ││
│ Infection' relies on subtle snippets of flutes, strings and ││
│ electric pianos all laid on a bed of firin' beats, congas ││
│ and pulsating bass. 'Ewok Disco' is a more dubbier affair, ││
│ the track uses a driving sub bass, various percussion and ││
│ Tech House sounds to create a dance floor shuffler ││
│ guaranteed to get your body movin'. ││
