Crazy sound and noise from this crazy man.
Caliph is the third album in a project of sound albums created by
Don Verbrilli. Verbrilli splices together the sounds of trance
techno and Funk to get a strange almost psychedelic sound that you
could just jam to for hours. It's almost like a kind of techno
jazz. Truly a masterpiece of sound art, this album throws together
original melodies and strange sounds/voice overs, like the end of
Shahrazad. If you're looking for a song with a lot of noticeable
lyrics, this isn't the album for you. Vocals mostly consist of
waling and humming except for in songs like All the Gold in the
Ocean and Check Your Fame. This album is just funktastic.
