█▀░░ PsyCZ group was formed in spring 2001 by its first three members ... ░░▀█
█▀░ But as every group grows and gets new members, new people joined PsyCZ ░▀█
█▀░ to help us in our mission. Our main common loved genere was psychedelic ░▀█
█▀░ ... of course, but everone of us likes several more genres. This caused, ░▀█
█▀░ that several members began to demand releasing other music styles such ░▀█
█▀░ as ambient, drum&bass and few more ... So we realized, that our original ░▀█
█▀░ name PsyCZ is a little uncomfortable, because it highlights our psy - ░▀█
█▀░ sight. After few days of debates we decided to found new sub-group ... ░▀█
█▀░ and here we are ... PsyCZ_NP will bring you plenty of non psychedelic ░▀█
█▀░ music ... especially ambient, but some other genres are planned too. ░▀█
█▀░ Why did we decide for non-psy? Changing of the group name isn't possible ░▀█
█▀░ so possibilities we had was only adding a suffix to current group name ░▀█
 █▀░░ ... so have chosen non-psy, because it's clearest and most fluent ... ░░▀█
 █▀░░░ ░░░▀█

█▀║ The Young Gods are best known for their explosive live acts, but their ║▀█
█▀║ latest composition, "Music for Artificial Clouds" is ambient and ║▀█
█▀║ dreamlike. It furthers the band's excursions into introspective ║▀█
█▀║ territory, such as instrumental album "Heaven Deconstruction", with ║▀█
█▀║ its contemplative and minimalist tones, as well as Franz Treichler's ║▀█
█▀║ recent compositions for choreographer Gilles Jobin, and "Second ║▀█
 █▀║ Nature", the band's latest album. ║▀█
 █▀║ ║▀█
█▀║ "Music for Artificial Clouds" is meditative music for relaxation. It ║▀█
█▀║ draws listeners into a state of availability and seeks to link them to ║▀█
█▀║ the world, rather than to extract them from it. As Brian Eno put it: ║▀█
█▀║ "Ambient music is intended to induce calm and a space to think. ║▀█
█▀║ Ambient music must be able to accommodate many levels of listening ║▀█
█▀║ attention without enforcing one in particular; it must be as ignorable ║▀█
█▀║ as it is interesting." ║▀█
 █▀║ ║▀█
█▀║ This moves away from fixing music in time by starting at point A and ║▀█
█▀║ ending at point B. Instead, the ambient approach seeks to turn music ║▀█
█▀║ into a permanent space made of looping textures and hues, which ║▀█
█▀║ listeners can freely enter and exit. ║▀█
 █▀║ ║▀█
█▀║ "Music for Artificial Clouds" is also environmental music, in that ║▀█
█▀║ part of it was inspired by the environment for which it was composed, ║▀█
█▀║ and where it was initially played - the Arteplage of Yverdon on the ║▀█
 █▀║ shores of Lake Neuch_tel , during Swiss national exposition "Expo.02". ║▀█
 █▀║ ║▀█
█▀║ The band approached composing the piece by looking for organic sounds ║▀█
█▀║ generated by computer, which they then mixed with a bank of natural ║▀█
█▀║ sounds recorded by Franz Treichler during a recent trip to the ║▀█
█▀║ Amazonian rainforest. The resulting musical landscape is inhabited by ║▀█
█▀║ imaginary animals, resonant plants, electronic breezes, distant ║▀█
█▀║ melodies and artificial clouds. ║▀█
 █▀║ ║▀█
 █▀║ -------------------- ║▀█

 █▀║ ║▀█
█▀║ Swiss electro-noise terrorists the Young Gods traced their origins ║▀█
█▀║ back to 1982, when Geneva-based frontman Franz Treichler, increasingly ║▀█
█▀║ bored with his then-current new wave band, began experimenting with a ║▀█
█▀║ small sampler. Influenced as well by the visceral power of punk and ║▀█
█▀║ the grand drama of classical music, he began creating abrasive guitar ║▀█
█▀║ and drum loops, and with sampler Cesare Pizzi and percussionist Frank ║▀█
█▀║ Bagnoud, founded the Young Gods in 1985; named in an honor of a Swans ║▀█
█▀║ composition, the trio debuted a year later with Envoy'!, a brief, ║▀█
█▀║ blistering single distilling their assaultive sound to its core. ║▀█
█▀║ Produced by Swan Roli Mosimann, their self-titled debut LP followed in ║▀█
█▀║ 1987, and was named Album of the Year by the British music weekly ║▀█
█▀║ Melody Maker; by the time of the follow-up, 1989's L'Eau Rouge, ║▀█
█▀║ drummer Use Hiestand had replaced Bagnoud, and with the release of ║▀█
█▀║ 1991's The Young Gods Play Kurt Weill, Pizzi was gone in favor of ║▀█
█▀║ sampler Alain Monod. T.V. Sky followed in 1992, while 1995's Only ║▀█
█▀║ Heaven flirted with ambient textures; two years later, the Young Gods ║▀█
█▀║ (minus Hiestand and with new drummer Bernard Trontin) returned with ║▀█
 █▀║ Heaven Deconstruction. ║▀█
 █▀║ ║▀█

█▀║ As time goes by, the world matures. PsyCZ has matured and the scene has ║▀█
█▀║ matured. PsyCZ started releasing in VBR over two years ago, and was met ║▀█
█▀║ with skepticism. As time went by, more and more realised that VBR is ║▀█
█▀║ superiour to cbr 192. Finally, now in 2004, VBR is allowed by the scene. ║▀█
█▀║ PsyCZ will also in 2004 continue to bring you the finest psychedelic ║▀█
█▀║ trance music from around the world, as we have since 2001. ║▀█
