█▓ In fall 2001, the ToneArt Ensemble was created to ▓█
█▓ form a constellation that ▓█
█▓ was able to work with a challenging new repertoire ▓█
█▓ over a longer period of time. This way, it was ▓█
█▓ possible to combine the best of two worlds: The ▓█
█▓ excitement of a new original repertoire and the ▓█
█▓ sound of a well-rehearsed ensemble. ▓█
█▓ ▓█
█▓ We chose an ensemble consisting of violin, 4 horns ▓█
█▓ and a rhythm section and ▓█
█▓ got 8 ToneArt composers to write the music, which ▓█
█▓ brought up a varied and ▓█
█▓ personal repertoire. The music was written in the ▓█
█▓ fall of 2001 and has many ▓█
█▓ sources of inspiration. ▓█
█▓ ▓█
█▓ A musical journey starting in the land of "masks ▓█
█▓ and feathers" and continuing ▓█
█▓ to Kabul, New York, Buenos Aires and ending with a ▓█
█▓ tribute to Dalai Lama. ▓█
█▓ ▓█
█▓ After having worked with the music for almost two ▓█
█▓ years, we felt that it was time to record it. This ▓█
█▓ resulted in this CD, which presents 7 composers ▓█
