Despite being a married couple with kids, the two deep house artists kept
their careers largely separate until recently. They've never co-produced a
track, and Mayanja has appeared only rarely on her husband's label,
Underground Quality, sticking instead to her own Bu-Mako imprint. This
changed with EDJ Records, their self-distributed label that launched last
month with the first-ever Jen & Ed release, Dark Matter EP. Left Groove
features a handful of solo productions from each artist, all of which are
previously unreleased. It's available on CD exclusively through the
Underground Quality website.
