█▐Knol Tate is Askeleton. Askeleton started in 2000 during the break-up ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐of his former band, The Hidden Chord. Using a free version of a certain▌█ ▐█▐
█▐unnamed audio program he started putting together songs based on ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐samples, simply arranged keyboard and guitar parts paired with left ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐over Hidden Chord lyrics. What resulted? Cute little pop songs. Two ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐records were made in 2000 and 2001, both were released in 2002; the ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐"Sad Album" full length CD on Minneapolis label Blood of the Young ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐Records and an CD/EP called "Modern Fairy Tales" on New York's Alone ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐Records. A modest amount of great press and reviews followed the ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐releases as well as the now infamous first Askeleton duo live shows. ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐The live band kept growing and changing members to fit whatever was the▌█ ▐█▐
█▐needs of the Askeleton live band at the time. ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐ ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐In the fall of 2002 with the help new equipment and software, Knol ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐started work on what would become the Angry Album or- Psychic Songs. ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐When half a dozen songs were in the works Knol's brother, Erin Tate ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐(aka Ezilla of Minus the Bear), recorded live drums on many songs while▌█ ▐█▐
█▐on vacation from Seattle WA. One simple take at a time the Askeleton ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐sound took on a new character. Using more live instrumentation and ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐relying less on the samples and loops he first used, the sound became ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐larger and rockier while maintaining the same feel that the simpler, ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐sample based songs did. ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐ ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐The live band was growing and changing once again (now dubbed The ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐Askeleton Orchestra). Joined onstage with members of such local bands ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐as: End Transmission, Valet, Vox Vermillion, Arsonwelles, Motion City ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐Soundtrack and Monarques, as well as sharing the stage with such ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐diverse bands as Radio 4, Minus The Bear, Mark Mallman, 12 Rods, 25 ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐Suaves, Ela and many more, the Askeleton live show was becoming as ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐diverse as the new record was shaping up to be. ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐ ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐One of the first tracks to be finished for the new full length was "The▌█ ▐█▐
█▐Future"; a song about facing uncertainty and overcoming it. It was ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐decided that this song would be the first single for the record. Taking▌█ ▐█▐
█▐three older songs that he had been sitting on since the recording of ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐the "Modern Fairy Tales" songs, "Work", "Sleep" and "DIE" were the ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐perfect songs to accompany the idea of "The Future." St. Paul label O- ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐Matic records were poised to release "The Future EP." In a cold January▌█ ▐█▐
█▐of 2004 "The Future" single was released as an enhanced CD/EP, the four▌█ ▐█▐
█▐tracks and one music video for "The Future" shot and directed by local ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐film maker Eli Ljung. ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐ ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐The Angry Album, more than a year in the making was beginning to take ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐shape but still had no label to call home. With more than 25 songs to ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐choose from the final 13 tracks were decided upon and tweaked. Joined ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐by Eric Vong of Vox Vermillion and the live Askeleton group playing ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐drums on some tracks as well as other friends, more and more songs took▌█ ▐█▐
█▐on a live feel. Knol started to start shopping the completed album ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐around to labels nation wide with luck. Knowing that it was a ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐worthwhile piece of art, frustration and self doubt started to rear ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐their ugly heads. ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐ ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐Goodnight Records is the brainchild of Keith Vogelsong, the main person▌█ ▐█▐
█▐and song writer behind the band The Blue Hour from Atlanta Ga. Both ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐Askeleton and The Blue Hour had previous releases on Alone Records. ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐While Knol was starting the process of "shopping around" Angry Album ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐Keith contacted Knol about being one of the first releases on ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐Goodnight. With the intention of making a good label run by artists for▌█ ▐█▐
█▐artists Knol couldn't say no and was excited to work with Goodnight. ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐Plans for releasing the full length began. ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐ ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐Enlisting the help of many friends to complete the project the album ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐was put together over the months of December and January of 03' and ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐04'. Artwork was done by Knol and good friend and screen printer Peter ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐Tressler. Also Knol and Eli Ljung began work on the video for the ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐second track off the album called "Birdman" to be included on the ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐enhanced Angry Album disc. The album was mastered and ready to go. ▌█ ▐█▐

█▐With tours and other promotional ventures and a quick follow up to the ▌█ ▐█▐
█▐Angry Album called Happy Album in the works it seems that 2004 with be ▌█ ▐█▐
