what more could you dig? unity of style is present with the three.
checking out the dubby side of laid back jazzness. first up, my
man howie b. heÆs a lover not a fighter, iÆm sure. new cut on this
ep proves this with a crazed bedroom vibe only the b-man could
brew. an insistent hip hop break is the foundation for thrift
store string samples jazzy bass, and funky keyboard blurtations to
weave around. supreme in its slow, chill fashion. kensuke shiina
are unfamiliar to me but are obviously from that japan massive.
sly tabla beats and an unmistakable almost classic oriental sound
make this cut the æexoticaÆ of the crew. naked funk are mixed by
mr. b arid he places them in his element. pumping bass rhodes
piano and otherworldly sound effects abound and that beat.., oh
man! kicks in and dares the head to nod along. all these comp cuts
are winners. more hugeness from the pussyfoot gang. (q-burn)
