this duo was founded in 1994 by lars vegas and mojo tom and has
left a definite impression on clubland with their first release
"highpriestess". regarded as the blueprint for jazz-infused club
music by such diverse people as jazzanova, rainer trⁿby, david
mancuso, francois k. and gilles peterson, "highpristess" was
licensed to numerous compilations such as dimitri from paris'
"deluxe house of funk", francois k.'s "essential mix" and david
mancuso's legendary "loft classics"-series, to name just a few.
besides having released three highly-acclaimed albums ("redefing
the art of polyrythmic relaxation", as described by the
"id"-magazine), touring japan and producing more than ten 12"es,
karma have also remixed coldfeet, megashira, trance groove, solar
moon system, phoneheads and have upcoming remixes for jazzanova
and king britt in the pipeline. currently karma are working on a
movie soundtrack released next year, redefining their floating
freeform funk.
