With a second Turbo release out of the last three, it feels like Tiga has
handed over his reinvigorated label to Andy "Sei A" Graham. It's testimony,
perhaps, to the pomp that the Glaswegian producer is in right now, stitching
together various swatches of the dance music fabric.

Drafting in Martyn on remix duties for the lead track, "Flux," adds extra
gravitas to a fine package. His reworking takes the 8-bit riff of the
originalùreminiscent of Darkmountaingroup's crunching dark house track "Lose
Control" on Buzzin' Fly a few years backùand melds it into a heavy-assed, dirty
bass/techno crossover. Away from the remix, on "Break the Pattern" Sei A throws
together rasping electronic trills, breathy vocal samples and a complex, itchy
 bass/tech rhythm.

The original mix of "Flux" is a growling digital rumba, the pile-driving
bassline accompanied by squealing Atari video game synths and subtle vocal
drops. It's one for clubbers who like nothing more than Sellotaping themselves
to the bassbins at three in the morning. "Jus Appreciate" hangs heavy in the
air like morning fog, a web of colliding abstract digital melodies, complex
rhythms and a febrile, Stephen King film atmosphere. Like the best music, over
several plays it's stuff that peels back the layers, revealing the intricacies
 lying beneath.
