│║ Here we have Michael KiskeÆs new solo outing, ║ │
│║ simply titled ôKiskeö. As a fan of HELLOWEEN, ║ │
│║ especially of the ôKeeperàö albums and knowing ║ │
│║ what Michael Kiske is capable of vocally, ║ │
│║ ôKiskeö can be a trying listen. Not that this is ║ │
│║ necessarily a bad record; itÆs just not what I ║ │
│║ want from Michael Kiske. Maybe IÆm being ║ │
│║ selfish, but I just have a hard time accepting ║ │
│║ that one of Power MetalÆs all-time greatest ║ │
│║ voices is content with simple, introspective Pop ║ │
│║ Rock. But I guess this isnÆt about me. ║ │
│║ ║ │

│║ For what it is, ôKiskeö is a decent album. ItÆs ║ │
│║ full of chilled out, easy going, adult-oriented ║ │
│║ Pop Rock that certainly stands up to most all of ║ │
│║ the popular artists playing this style. Anyone ║ │
│║ interested in John Mayer, COLDPLAY or other ║ │
│║ similar artists will likely enjoy ôKiskeö. The ║ │
│║ problem is, most of those people will never hear ║ │
│║ this album, which is quite unfortunate. And most ║ │
│║ of those who will hear this album (Metal fans) ║ │
│║ will most likely not enjoy it, which is also ║ │
│║ unfortunate. ║ │

│║ So if you happen to occasionally dig some soft ║ │
│║ Pop Rock in between your headbanging, give ║ │
│║ Michael KiskeÆs ôKiskeö a chance. And pass the ║ │
│║ word on to your Pop-loving friends/family. But ║ │
│║ if youÆre expecting vocal pyrotechnics and ║ │
│║ flashy Power Metal, Michael Kiske just isnÆt ║ │
│║ that man anymore. ║ │
