Excellent Remixes from Hot Toddy, Fernando and Maris Basanov. Hot Toddy
always delivers the goods on his remixes (remember his stunning remix of
Never Gonna Reach Me), he takes the track into old school house territory
using the synths from the original and making them the main focus of the
track, cutting in strings, piano and Danielles superb vocals for a proper
club version. Fernando (Redux Records/2020Soundsystem) turns out a couple
of wicked versions in his trademark cosmicpunkfunkdisco direction, this guy
has hit some real form lately with these mixes, a remix for International
Feel, single for Leng and album for Bearfunk on the way. Mario Basanov has
also been pricking ears up recently with great remixes of Hercules & Love
Affair, Robert Owens and Mighty Mouse. His remix takes the strings and
wraps them around his deep disco grooves like a blanket, and has a real
building quality that climaxes into a tough club workout
