│ Farmer Eddie "Spettro" and ranch hand David "Dwavehed" first ││
│ began mulching up audio together in 1997. With Eddie's dj ││
│ background and Dave's musical theory/production background, ││
│ the duo quickly realized what the funk was up! After many ││
│ coffee and bud sessions, a cross pollination of funk, latin ││
│ rhythms, tweaks, efx and all other kinds of silly audio work ││
│ manifested itself into what it is now, adopting the name ││
│ Green Thumb along the way. ││
│ ││
│ Add to the mix another Texas talent, scientist JV, whose ││
│ meticulous work in the studio consistently results in cross ││
│ genre hybrids. Spettro and JV met in the summer of 2002 and ││
│ believed that the fusion of the organic Green Thumb sound ││
│ and the techy JV sound would make for a dangerously ││
│ interesting combination. The result was the Grand Theft ││
│ Vinyl EP, written in response to the unfortunate robbery of ││
│ Spettro's beloved vinyl. ││
│ ││
│ Keep an eye out for Green Thumb's harvest on Heights Music, ││
│ Rythmix (Trip Do West), and Grab Recordings as well as a ││
│ full-length release in the near future. Look for JV's ││
│ concoctions on Dorigen Music, Groove Pleasure, and Sugarcane ││
│ Recordings. ││
