This CD issue features 3 tracks not included on the vinyl edition;
ôGinegog Versionö and ôDub Will Change Your Mindö, both dubs of Cornell
Campbell songs, ( ôGorgon A The Ginegogö and ôHave You Changed Your
Mindö respectively). The third bonus track is ôDub Naah Runö, a version
of Owen GrayÆs ôI Man Naah Runö.
The market is saturated with albums of Bunny Lee produced dubs from King
TubbyÆs studio, with varying degrees of overlap, but now here comes a
record of genuine rarities never compiled on album before. From the
opening ôDub Gospelö to the closing ôOne And Only Dubö even seasoned
dubheads will find themselves listening to music they never knew
existed. (ôWhere you get dis one? Dis rare!!ö - Bunny Lee, 5th October

The cornerstone of the album consists of dub versions of 4 little-known
Derrick Morgan tracks, ôTeach My Daughterö, ôRasta Nah Fearö, ôUnder
Heavy Mannersö and ôPick Sense Out Of Nonsenseö, plus his duet with
Johnny Clarke on ôBeholdö. Livening up the mix are dubs to a brace of
Ronnie Davis tunes (ôGood Newsö and ôThatÆs Lifeö) along with versions
of ôOh Jah Forgive Meö and ôOne And Only Loverö from Cornell Campbell
(who also plays bass on ôUnder Heavy Mannersö). The set is rounded out
with versions of tracks by Jackie Edwards, Johnny Clarke, John Holt and
Joy White. Whilst the album concentrates heavily on the 1975 æflying
cymbalÆ style of Carlton æSantaÆ Davis there is also one track from 1974
(ôGolden Rule Dubö) plus a handful from the years 1976 to 1978, the
highlight of which must be the instrumental workout ôGoing Home Dubö
featuring blistering solos from Tommy McCook and Vin Gordon. Although
some of the later tracks bear some of the characteristics more readily
associated with Channel 1 Bunny Lee has confirmed that all were mixed at
King TubbyÆs.
