it was 'honey, we got the cure for your boredom!' that began it
all in 1997. with the ingenuity that typified wally's groove
world, an innovative record label named after a second hand vinyl
shop located in an anonymous basement in the bowels of antwerp.
label owner koen van immerseel aka dj koenie took wally's quote
and co-opted it. in the years that followed, wally's attempt to
inject house with a shot of dancefloor energy became effective.
wally's groove world's musical style is rather difficult to
define, almost impossible. balancing between intelligent deep
house and clicking break beats with a certain need for funk and
chunky tech house made koenie's releases so unforeseeable
throughout the years. wally's aim is to give promising belgian and
foreign artists from the underground as soon as it appears the
opportunity to make the music they always wanted to but never
could.
