         Dj Olive, Bruno Amstad, and Martin Baumgartner months and
         years after illbient sitting at lunch on wheels made from
         casablanca floating them over san paulo by way of
         switzerland on brooklyn.
         it's really easy for me to want call this post-illbient.
         olive's trademark sound-scapism is there. future now. in
         it's beginning, in the digital tuning if you will, you feel
         on the cusp of space, on the edge of possibility. the
         difference here is that that possibility is more probable.
         it's more optimistic than the urban landscape's gravity
         holding you in place.
         children dot the sound sounding smooth and lightly latin.
         dub tinged by afro-jazz and ray guns lightly flops into the
         subtile stacks leading us along.
         the benevolent ghosts of our collective hip-shake are
         shaking this loose from it's prisons. the sirens aren't here
         in this playground.
         folk and clang dot and dirge. and we get the scooby scat
         dabbled like cable carrying a signal in invisible ways
         around and around this conduit. malcolm mooney or damo
         suzuki come to mind. it's that vocal freeflowness you'd find
         in Can or perhaps from jaap blonk reporting subvocal nods
         from the squirrels, the chairs we all sit in, and every
         string's favorite thing.
         this whole record is just full of soul, a soul different
         than that soul some know it as... it's world soul. it's
         neighborhoods of sound living in every furthest corner of
         our world. it's dishes clanging. it's birds singing. it's
         the party of a hot afternoon slowly rolling by. founds
         sounds at lunch honking in traffic with each other... if
         only that racket ball sound would turn left already! see,
         the bassline's gonna let you through! thank god!
         i like this record. it's warm and relaxing. a chill record
         for the day time. optimistic and yet still messing with you
         like flying insects as horns. these things, they warp and
         wrap your day up as it passes along amongst the people.
         let's dance in that possibility of today time.
