whereas the originators of many cuban musical styles are known,
the creator of the mambo seems to still be in question. arsenio
rodriguez, the famous cuban tres player is one person who is
credited with either inventing or greatly popularising the mambo,
being one of the first band leaders to add congas to a musical
group.
