Friendships strong as family, creating a rock brotherhood are
the foundation for The Vanished, a band with a fiery passion
for melody. Humbly stated, The Vanished crumble the pillars
of expectation; they break through the barriers of any
preformatted concept with raw intensity, unexpected rhythms,
and a cynical silver lining in each song.
The foursome's self-titled debut LP plays like a memoir, with
each song leaving a vulnerable yet bittersweet aftertaste.
"Favorite Scar", the album's first single, boasts allegiance
to a past love with an unforgettable chorus and powerful
build, it's guitar rock roots set off by highlights of sitar,
harpsichord and piano. Yet it serves as only a taste of what
the album has to offer: each track holds a unique story,
ambitious enough to rival for standout song of the album.
But just as the members of The Vanished, the songs create a
kinship, each complimenting the other with it's own distinct
significance. Nowhere is this more evident than in the
haunting composition "Soap (Waste Another Day)" which
features special guest vocals from Chauntelle DuPree
(Eisley), and offers biggest musical departure of the record.
