█ It was ten years ago when the world █
█ witnessed the first signs of life from █
█ David Eugene Edwardsænew band Wovenhand █
█ (äWoven Handôin the beginning). 16 █
█ Horsepower still existed at that time, but █
█ the three core members, bass player Pascal █
█ Humbert, drummer Jean-Yves Tola and David █
█ Eugene were slowly drifting apart. However, █
█ they still managed to release äFolkloreôin █
█ the same year, a fierce, intense and █
█ radical final studio cooperation. █

█ In the meantime David EugeneÆs solo project █
█ stepped out of 16 HorsepowerÆs long shadow. █
█ Six albums later old fans still feverishly █
█ worship David Eugene and his sound, a █
█ legion of new fans have converted and Woven █
█ Hand has undertaken an incredible █
█ development. █

█ What both bands have in common is the █
█ intense personality of frontman David █
█ Eugene Edwards. ItÆs difficult to find a █
█ performer in the current rock- and indie █
█ scene that matches his expressive voice and █
█ rivals his stage presence. In fact you will █
█ have to go back a couple of decadesà Jim █
█ Morrison? Ian Curtis? These are the legends █
█ that come to mind when looking for a █
█ frontman of equal charisma as David Eugene █
█ Edwards, someone who really can cast a █
█ spell over an audience like the singer and █
█ guitarist from Denver, Colorado. █

█ A Wovenhand gig always is a special event, █
█ a deep experience of emotional intensity █
█ that sucks you in, turns over body and soul █
█ and spits you out leaving a feeling of █
█ purification. This is not your average rock █
█ & roll concert; this is a life-changing █

█ percussion player Lukas Metaxas played a █
█ gig in an old church in Ottersum █
█ (Netherlands) in October 2010. An ancient █
█ building well known for its very special █
█ atmosphere and amazing acoustics, the room █
█ was the perfect setting for Woven HandÆs █
█ first live album û Live At Roepan. And due █
█ to high-end recording facilities the sound █
█ is sensational and of course, without █
█ overdubs. Every song (three stem from █
█ Folklore, 16 HorsepowerÆs swan song) is a █
█ significant progression from the studio █
█ version and the whole album acts as the █
█ missing piece in the bandÆs recorded █
