Release Notes:
Souls of Fire, with musical references to good vibrations, carry messages that
often have critical a social statement. The Souls of Fire is a set of young
artists from the city of Porto, Portugal. Influenced by names such as Burning
Spear, Gladiators and Steel Pulse, the Souls of Fire represent the new
generation of Portuguese roots reggae . Although the band has only been around
for a short time, Souls of Fire already performed at several concerts.
Souls of Fire was also the name of a now defunct mid 90Æs British folk band
based in Southampton,UK who played a mix of æKlezmerÆ (Jewish dance music) &
other similar pieces of music with a vigour that has been variously described as
æklezmer-roots-worldbeat-danceÆ, ætribal Jewish funkÆ or æYiddish folk rockÆ
Surprisingly none of the members were Jewish.
