| LawnChair Generals likely represent the next creative event in |
| underground house music, a sound carefully crafted unlike much of |
| the slapped together economy of the dance music prevelant to |
| date. Carlos Mendoza and Peter Christianson met in 2000 and |
| almost immediatelly began experimenting with the possibilities of |
| house music. Their very first experiment yielded their first |
| release on Viva Recordings, "The Great Escape". The pair was |
| pleasantly surprised when this release garnered the praise of |
| national and worldwide heavyweights alike. Charted in |
| publications by the likes of Mark Farina and Colin Dale of the |
| BBC, and broken out on dance floors by Johnny Fiasco, DJ Heather, |
| Doc Martin, Rob Mello and more all over the world, their "West |
| Coast meets Chicago" sound has garnered this pair more attention |
| than they expected. Now LawnChair Generals have released their |
| second original E.P. entitled U Dirty on Doc MartinÆs latest |
| imprint, Westbound, which has already been licensed to |
| compilations by DJ Heather and Hipp-e and Halo. Remixes for Viva, |
| Deepfunk and Amenti extend this duo's sound to the works of other |
| emerging underground talents such as Hanna, Rhythm Slaves and |
| Alexander East. |
